Golden State guard Jamal Crawford can opt out of the last two years of his deal this summer, which would leave roughly $20 million on the table.
Warriors coach Don Nelson's decision to sit Crawford in Friday's game to allow the team's younger players more time could eventually alter the guard's decision.
Crawford has said that he won't make a decision until after the season is over.

While Jamal Crawford does not question coach Don Nelson's decision to hold him out of tonight's game against the Charlotte Bobcats, according to the San Francisco Chronicle Crawford's agent does want answers.
The last time the two teams met Crawford dropped 50.
"What is the message that Nelson is sending to a young team? 'Don't play to win?' " Goodwin said. "What is the message he is sending to the fans who work hard to pay for Warriors tickets in order to see them win?
"Jamal is not injured, and not only is he averaging 19 points per game, but he scored 50 points on the (Bobcats) for a win earlier this season."
Nelson announced this week that he will begin resting his veterans "here and there" in an effort to give the team's youngsters more playing time.

Don Nelson has a huge logjam at the shooting guard position and in order to get everybody on the floor, he will sit some players like Jamal Crawford for an entire game. Nelson plans to do that on Friday against the Bobcats, the team Crawford scored 50 points against in December.
"I'm going to give Jamal a day off against Charlotte so I can play some of the younger guys," coach Don Nelson said Wednesday. "I'll do that periodically because I have a logjam at the '2,' and it's probably better not to try to play everybody."
"Coach Nelson's been around 30 years. He's won 1,300 games. I'm not going to question what he's doing. He wants to play young guys and I understand," said Crawford.
